David G. Wierman is a native of Peoria, Illinois, and attended the University of Iowa and University of South Dakota School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Iowa and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, and the United States Court of Appeals, for the Eighth Circuit.
David is the principal of Wierman Law Firm, P.C., and has spent more than fifteen years helping clients navigate some of life’s most important legal decisions. His practice focuses on Trust and Estate Planning, Farm and Business Succession Planning, State and Federal Estate Tax Planning, and Probate and Trust Administration. He also assists clients with Estate and Gift Tax Returns, New Business Formation, Business Planning, and a variety of Business Transactions.
David serves on the Iowa State Bar Association Probate, Trust and Estate Section Council, where he contributes his experience to shaping legal practice in these important areas. In 2014, his dedication to service was recognized by the Iowa Supreme Court, which honored him for providing pro bono legal assistance to residents of the Quad Cities area. In addition to his legal practice, David has shared his knowledge by speaking at seminars and events focused on Farm Succession and Estate Planning.
As a dedicated Quad Cities resident, David actively gives back to his community through service and leadership. He serves on the Board for the Quad Cities Planned Giving Council and has also volunteered for many years as an Advisory Board Member for the Salvation Army of the Quad Cities.
